Principal's Message:

Welcome to Pomeroy Jr/Sr High School, home of the Pirates.  As you walk our halls you will be able to feel the family environment that we have created amongst our staff and students.  A 7-12 school we pride ourselves on knowing our students and doing what is best for students, while making everyone around us better.  Our staff works to bring high academic rigor to the classroom while teaching to the whole student and preparing them for work and college.  Our students are challenged to learn something new daily, fail forward, and be bold in their lives.  Our goal is to build strong independent people who will be contributing citizens in the future.

Pomeroy Jr/Sr High School requires our students to be responsible for themselves and has established Employability Grades for 7th – 12th grade students that evaluate time management, responsibility, accountability, productivity, and communication/collaboration in the classroom.  Teachers promote rigor in the classroom through expectations and experiences that are academically, intellectually, and personally challenging, but put responsibility on the students to take advantage of these opportunities.

I have been a member of the Pirate family as a teacher and now the Principal.  I am blessed to be part of such a great team who takes pride in making everyone around them better.  I graduated from the University of Idaho in 2001 with a degree in Business and Marketing Education.  I began teaching at PHS in 2010 and completed my Master’s Degree in Administration in 2012 from the University of Idaho.  I took on the role of Lead Teacher in 2013 and then transitioned into Jr/Sr High Principal in 2017.  I love teaching and being with students, and have found that my lessons are now life lessons for students and I use my role as an opportunity to continue making the students at PHS people that our community can be proud of as they leave our walls.
