School Closure

Pomeroy School District Families-

Due to the increasing concern of the spread of COVID-19 Governor Inslee instituted a proclamation that all schools in Washington State will need to close by Monday, March 16th for the safety of our students, families, and community. Pomeroy School District has made the decision to not have students return after today, Friday, March 13th. Students and families will be able to collect all of their needed items on Monday and Tuesday if needed. All sports practices and other school-related activities are also canceled until further notice.

I will make it a priority to continually communicate with families as additional information becomes available. We will continually update our website and Facebook pages, as well as use our alert system when necessary. Please be patient with us as we work through all the requirements, obligations and questions that will need to be answered.

As the Superintendent of the school district, I ask that you all stay safe and healthy and please be understanding of this decision. We are all in uncharted waters and will be working together to get through this very difficult time.

Thank you,

Rachel Gwinn, Superintendent
