DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:

Provides intervention support for students that quality for the Title 1 program following the established MTSS System, provide one-one support for students with special needs that may need additional support in the classroom, assist classroom teachers with instruction and help supervise and monitor students at recess and other activities
Requirements
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
• assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce reading, writing and math concepts by providing interventions support
• Works with Title 1 coordinator to develop and implement interventions that meet specific student needs
• Supports students in the general education classroom and special education classroom
• develops positive relationships with students through modeling and reinforcing behavior that assists learning
• plans and develops student learning plans for students; tracks intervention progress for Title 1 program
• is a team player and collaborates with the classroom teacher and other staff to monitor student progress
• maintains confidentiality of students and staff
QUALIFICATIONS TO FILL THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
• Washington State requires all paraprofessionals to be trained in the Paraeducator Fundamental Course of Study. Training will be provided if applicant has not completed this training.

Salary
Placement on the Classified Wage Schedule for approximately 35 hours of service per week, Monday through Friday. Salary range: $19.15/hr to $24.16/hr.
